spring vs. studying

Spring is definitely here (and it is glooorious!), but my exams are approaching as well. This is the time to get serious with studying. So, in an effort to not lose out on soaking up the wonderful sun, birdsong and spring smells, I have been going around different parks and trying to study on the grass. Definitely less efficient than the library, but also less painful on my soul. ;) And it gives me the opportunity to sneak in a bit of sightseeing on the way to and fro. The best kind of sightseeing too – the one when you’re getting to know the back alleys and stumbling upon hidden treasures! Today, I discovered this in one shopwindow:

Yes, your eyes do not deceive you. It is some sort of beanbag made in gigantic garter stitch. Knitting is EVERYWHERE! I luv it! :)

About fridica

I started knitting completely by accident, when I was visiting my parents for a holiday in 2008. On a boring Sunday afternoon, I decided to dig through their stash of books to see if there was anything interesting to take back to my apartment. A knitting manual happened to be one of the books I found. I got curious, my mom immediately dug out her old needles and yarn stash (which she hadn’t used in a decade at least), and in a few minutes we were both casting on - she by memory, I by following the instructions from the book… :) Since I normally prefer learning from books, this was ideal.. I took the book home with me, and very very soon - I was an addict.

  1. haha…studying on the grass, i’ve tried that one before without very much success but i hope you can make it work. I can’t study in the library very well either though, i like to study at home with continuous access to tea and snacks and without too many stressed out people panicking nearby.
the giant beanbag is … intriguing! what a funny thing.
