This week, I got a good chunk of my exams done and then used the opportunity to reward myself with craftiness and happiness! My camera has also been busier than usual, so there’ll be lots to see here soon. To start off with, here’s some photographic evidence of my knitterly indulgence.
Remember when I talked about a yarn that I really wanted to try? Well, here it is! In the end I chose a light shade, because I want to make a hat with it, and I think the soft color will go well with my (new) dark hair.
I also got two Kim Hargreaves’ books, Precious and Breeze, that are just a joy to look at, and plan projects from! It’s been a happy weekend having all these new friends around the house… I hope you’re enjoying your weekend too! :)
Yarns are amazing!
I love the texture of that yarn. It’s not overly perfect and you’ll still get nice stitch definition. Can’t bwait to see what you do with it.
I love Breeze. It is so summery and fresh. Happy reading and knitting.
The yarn looks beautiful — very pretty shade — I can’t wait to see your finished hat!
Looks like a nice yarn, I hope it work up the way you want.
Good weekend wishes back at you!
That yarn looks fascinating to knit with. I hope you make a great hat with it.
Kim Hargreaves has such a talent! I have only one of her books – I should consider getting others, I think.
I have been eyeing that Willow Tweed for months now. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
Congrats on your exams! Such a relief to get stuff like that out of the way. Best of luck (not that you’ll need it) for the rest of them.
I haven’t used a yarn like this before, it’ll be interesting to see the result!
