My Paper Dolls

my Minimalist Cardigan

my First Ever Scarf

…and I decided that the three of them had better things ahead.

And that they needed a bath first.

About fridica

I started knitting completely by accident, when I was visiting my parents for a holiday in 2008. On a boring Sunday afternoon, I decided to dig through their stash of books to see if there was anything interesting to take back to my apartment. A knitting manual happened to be one of the books I found. I got curious, my mom immediately dug out her old needles and yarn stash (which she hadn’t used in a decade at least), and in a few minutes we were both casting on - she by memory, I by following the instructions from the book… :) Since I normally prefer learning from books, this was ideal.. I took the book home with me, and very very soon - I was an addict.

  1. Why did you rip Paper Dolls and Minimalist cardigan? Did you have some problems with patterns, or just didn’t like how they turned out? I liked them both… :(

  2. Good for you. Sometimes something just isn’t quite right and you have to frog and try again.

I just frogged a cardi and made myself a new hat and cowl and hood and it is a real relief to have made wearable things I like with the lovely wool.

  3. Yay for your frogging bravery! I have a lot of project sitting around that I need to rib and reuse the yarn for, but sometimes I can’t make myself do it!
