There has been knitting. Loads of it. But the light is terrible (and short – it gets dark before 5pm!). In addition, today our warm water decided to stop working. And I’m definitely not posing for photos with unwashed hair. Sorry. Let’s hope for better luck tomorrow. I hope we get it, because I have three completely finished, weaved-in, blocked, buttons-sewn-on things to show you. :)
Oh, yes, and some pom-poms are involved too… ;) I’ve been trying out my new pom-pom makers, which arrived from Sew and So yesterday.
This looks cute :) White and yellow combo is one of my all-time favourites.
:) It is like I wrote this post !
The December 22rd will come quickly, when the longest night will be (just imagine what this meant to our ancestors!!).
And yeah, I always finish hat when my hair is not washed :) :)
Those pom poms look cute. Looking forward to those pictures! :)
Oh, I tried my pompom maker yesterday and made an awful mess of it. my pompoms were very sad floopy things. Yours are ace. I must try harder!
Mine are coming out nowhere near as perfect as I expected! They aren’t even round in shape – more of a fat earth shape (umm, it’s the best description I can think of): round and plump on the sides yet flat on the top and bottom. Not to even mention that the first time around I didn’t realize you’re supposed to wrap yarn about both sides (I had only noticed one pair of arms that opened, not the other one, then tried some odd rotation movement to make them into a ball). Practice makes perfect, though, so I’ll keep trying! :)
I tried a friend’s pom pom make around Halloween, and loved it!! I totally need one for myself. I’d be making pom pom garlands for all occasions, I just know it!
Great colours, and the pom poms are sooo cute!
I love how the hat came out! The color combination is beautiful!
